Love and gratitude start with you. No matter where you are or what you are doing you can embrace and foster love. Remember to put on your mask first, fill your cup first, and love yourself first. When you start to love yourself and show yourself gratitude it will attract more love and gratitude from everyone around you. Now I am not guaranteeing that the moment you decide to love yourself that your next love will be knocking down your door.
It is important to play an active role in your life by making a conscious decision to love yourself and others. Most of us are stressed, overworked, and underpaid and that can leave us feeling empty. It is important to take stock of your life and situation from time to time and make sure that your actions align with your goals and desires. If they do not then NOW is the time to ACT.
We all change and grow and sometimes we feel like life is passing us by. I felt this way when my children moved out. One day I was a busy working single mom and then the next day my children were grown and moved out and I was lost. It did not happen over night but I was so busy being wrapped up in taking care of my children that when they left I felt empty. Just like with any loss I took some time to grieve and then realized that it was a part of life and that it was time for me to focus on myself. I have made an effort to make gratitude a daily choice and to love myself, Donald, and my children.
It is too easy to get lazy and let life pass you by. Trust me you want to be present and not miss a thing. Life can change so fast. As with my children where they did the normal and natural thing of growing up and moving out, most of it is good. I wish all the best for you and for you to enjoy many moments of love and gratitude with the people that you love. Sometimes you have to be the one to start the wheel in motion as far as love goes so do not waste any time. Tell others you love them and you are grateful to have them in your life.
